Clean-up day

Like a rug woven of different colors and textures, the Episcopal Church traces its heritage to the beginnings of Christianity, and engages current issues in the context of the Bible. One description: We worship with the Bible in one hand, and the newspaper (or twitter) in the other. We've been described as an ancient/future church: we build on the wisdom and symbols that have stood the test of time, and we engage the concerns of our own day, with an eye towards a world that is reconciled in love.
We come from different economic and social backgrounds, different ages, and different places and perspectives on our spiritual journeys. We have everything from former Roman Catholics, to former Baptists. We welcome people of any ethnicity, sexual orientation and background. We’re a small church - you won’t be a stranger here. We are your neighbors. We are the oldest church in Norwalk, a part of the Episcopal Diocese of Ohio, the first Diocese of the Episcopal Church outside the thirteen colonies. The Episcopal Church is part of the worldwide Anglican Communion, and traces its heritage to the beginnings of Christianity. We have members in the United States and the territory of Puerto Rico, Colombia, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Venezuela, Curacao, Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Haiti, Honduras, Micronesia, Taiwan, and the Virgin Islands. The global Anglican Communion has 70 million followers around the world. |
